Ready to make a real difference?

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking for a role where every day has a purpose?

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Classroom Practitioners to work across a range of specialist primary schools throughout Greater Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply support learning. You’ll be helping children build confidence, develop independence, overcome barriers and discover what they can achieve.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Support Worker or someone with transferable experience working with children and young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As an SEN Classroom Practitioner, you will become an important part of a supportive classroom team, working closely with teachers and other professionals to help pupils thrive.

You may be supporting children with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism / ASC
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs
  • Moderate or Complex Learning Difficulties
  • Sensory needs
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs
  • Communication and interaction difficulties

Your day could involve providing 1:1 support, small-group activities, sensory support, communication activities, classroom learning and helping pupils develop essential life skills.

Most importantly, you'll build positive relationships with pupils and help create an environment where they feel safe, valued and able to succeed.

⭐ Why Join Us?

This isn't just another classroom support role.

We offer opportunities across Greater Manchester, meaning we can look at schools and locations that work for you — whether you're based in Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton, Wigan or the surrounding areas.

You'll also benefit from:

Career progression opportunities – develop your SEN experience and work towards your next career step.

Temp-to-perm opportunities – many of our roles can develop into permanent positions for the right person.

Excellent transport links – opportunities at schools that are accessible by public transport.

On-site/nearby staff parking – ideal if you drive.

Professional development – gain valuable experience working within specialist SEN settings.

Supportive school teams – work alongside experienced teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff.

Meaningful work – finish each day knowing you've helped a child make progress, however big or small.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are:

  • Caring, patient and naturally nurturing
  • Passionate about working with children with additional needs
  • Confident building positive relationships
  • Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Adaptable and willing to learn
  • A strong team player
  • Committed to helping every child reach their potential

Previous SEN experience is highly desirable, but it's not the only thing that matters. If you have experience in education, childcare, care, youth work, support work or a similar environment, your transferable skills could be a great fit.

Your Next Step Starts Here

If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference while developing your career in SEN education, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
