Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Inclusion Support Assistants to work within specialist SEN schools across Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join supportive school teams and make a genuine difference to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, and complex learning needs.

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you'll help create an environment where every pupil feels understood, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

The Role

You will play an essential role in supporting pupils throughout the school day by:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs.
  • Building positive relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and wellbeing.
  • Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Encouraging participation in learning, social activities, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Assisting students with emotional regulation and developing coping strategies.
  • Supporting teachers in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual learning styles.
  • Helping pupils develop communication, social, and independence skills.
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor throughout the school day.
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
