Specialist Education Support Role | Salford | Full-Time | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated Inclusion & Learning Support Practitioner to join a welcoming SEN school in the Salford area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with a range of moderate Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The school supports pupils who may present with needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, social communication challenges, and developmental delays. Staff work closely together to provide a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
• Support the delivery of personalised learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Encourage pupil participation, independence, and self-esteem.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour support strategies.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families.
• Monitor progress and contribute to pupil observations and reports.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in education, care, youth work, residential settings, or community services.
• A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Confidence managing a range of learning, communication, and behavioural needs.
• Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
