Classroom Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Support Assistants to join SEN schools across Wigan and Bolton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a genuine difference in the classroom.

The Role

As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support where required

• Helping pupils develop social, emotional and communication skills

• Supporting positive behaviour and engagement

• Working closely with teachers and other school staff

• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

We’re Looking For

You could be an experienced Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or Youth Worker — or someone looking to start a rewarding career working with children.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who are:

• Patient, caring and compassionate

• Reliable and committed

• Confident working with children and young people

• Able to build positive relationships

• Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs

• Experienced in SEN settings (desirable, but not always essential)

Relevant qualifications and experience are welcomed, but full training and support may be available for the right candidates.
