Job description

Behaviour mentor

Do you have experience supporting children or adults with regulating their emotions?

Do you have experience deescalating heated situations?

Do you have experience managing challenging behaviour?

Do you have a passion to support children in re-building their love for learning and trust in educators?

Teaching Personnel are working with a fantastic SEMH school that work and support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Many of the students have faced complex trauma, a lack of support within schools, they have missed periods of education and can often view their education in a negative light.

We are looking to find that passionate individual who can change these negative views. This school needs an energetic and passionate person who is able to stay calm in heated situations, who can deescalate challenging behaviour by knowing the children’s unique needs by spending time with the children and who can encourage children to learn in a way that suits them.

If you have experience working with adults or young children, are an experienced youth worker, teaching assistant or worked within schools or clubs, have experience working with challenging behaviour in any sector or just have a passion to rebuild children’s love for learning- then we would love to hear from you!
