An Outstanding Catholic Primary school in Central Manchester, M2 are looking for an experienced Teaching assistant to support a child with Social and emotional difficulties in a mixed Year 1 and 2 class.

The school has a fantastic reputation and is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who will aim to continually raise standards at all times. Recently graded ‘Outstanding’ in every area by OFSTED, the head is looking to employ a strong candidate who can build strong relationships quickly with the child. To ensure the child makes sufficient progress and feels secure in school life, the ideal candidate must adopt a nurturing approach, and experience of working with children or young people with social and emotional or mental health difficulties is advantageous.

As part of the role the ideal candidate would be expected to:

• Follow the child’s individual learning plan

• Support the child, full time on a 1:1 basis to integrate with in the class and socialise positively with peers

• Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO on a daily basis to evaluate and reflect on the child’s learning to ensure the correct provision is on place to aid the child’s development and integration in school.

This would be a great opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career in an ‘OUTSTANDING’ primary school. The position is to start after the May bank holiday and will run up until the end of the academic year.
