Teaching Assistant for Bolton SEMH School

My client school in Horwich (Bolton) are seeking experienced teaching assistants to join their staffing team. The school is a specialist setting for children that have social, emotional mental health difficulties (SEMH). The pupils can display challenging behaviour and can be very difficult to engage in education.

The right teaching assistant will be able to manage behaviour and engage the young people in education. The Bolton school caters for young people in KS3 and KS4. The school are looking for people with experience in dealing with young people with SEMH difficulties, not necessarily school based, but in a residential, coaching, and youth work capacity.

This Bolton Teaching assistant position can be an immediate start, for a person who is on the DBS update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
