  • Carrying out one to one or small group support with students who have Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties

We have several special schools and pupil referral units based in the Tower Hamlets area seeking Teaching Assistants to help support students who have a range of Special Educational Needs. Our clients are looking to recruit candidates who have a good understanding of what is required to work with students who have Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and/or Autism as well as additional life skills to offer including a sports or creative background. Training in this field is not mandatory as Teaching Personnel do offer the opportunity to become Team Teach trained (positive handling) but the ability to develop rapport with students who have additional needs and a good understanding of their needs is crucial. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
