Teaching Assistant required for SEMH support.

  • Competitive rates of pay of up to £60 per day pending on experience

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a primary school that require a Teaching Assistant full time for a small group of pupils that have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The timetable will be split between targeted pupils that struggle to access the curriculum due to their emotional, social or mental health issues.

To apply you will have; experience working with pupils of a primary age with challenging behaviour, have good understanding of the curriculum and be confident in support Literacy and Numeracy, be able to provide 1:1 and small group focused sessions, be creative in differentiating activities to enable pupils to be engaged at all times.

Teaching Personnel are able to provide Team Teach training for those that do not hold the qualification. We will require 6 full years of career history and references from your most recent employers.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
