SEMH Teaching Assistant

A school in Manchester is seeking an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team. With lockdown having cause widespread disruption to student learning, the school is looking for an individual who is able to help students reintegrate back into mainstream life.

Requirements for this role are as follows:

• Previous experience working with children (this could be in a variety of capacities)
• Being able to display patience, resilience and compassion.
• Ensuring students adhere to school policy.
• Developing solid rapport with students, whilst always looking to engage the student as much as possible.
• Providing data on student progression, supporting across the subjects.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, the role will involve:

• Assisting with specific intervention plans for students, as well as monitoring behaviour.
• Providing pastoral support, dealing with potentially challenging scenarios.
• Implementing action plans in partnership with other support staff.

Pay for this role will range between GBP10 and GBP15 hourly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
