Teaching personnel are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a school in Slough that supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This position will start in September. All pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health Care Plan and a wide variety of diagnoses and needs are present including autism, ADHD, speech and language, occupational therapy, behaviour and attachment disorder.
As the Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the teacher and catering for the individual needs of pupils both in and out of the classroom. The promotion of an all inclusive environment for pupils is desired so the role requires someone who is motivated, positive and able to build a rapport with pupils that leads to a long-lasting relationship. Previous experience and training in SEN is desired but it is not a necessity for the correct candidate.
