Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location:
Skipton, North Yorkshire
Salary:
£77 - £90 Per day
Job Duties:
- Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the classroom
- Assisting the teacher in implementing individual education plans
- Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEMH and how it can impact learning
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The candidate may need to support students with challenging behaviour and emotional needs.
All successful applicants will be required to obtain a Child Enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
