SEMH Teaching Assistant

Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant needed for a school near Redruth.

  • Are you an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant looking for a brand new role?
  • Do you have experience in SEMH support and would like to go onto education?
  • Are you qualified or have experience of working with vulnerable people?
  • Are you located close to Redruth or happy to travel for work?

We have an exciting long term opportunity for a TA to work 1:1 with a child with SEN. The role is full time and has the potential to lead to a permanent contract for the right person.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A full Driving License
  • A passion for education and assisting children on their journey
  • A DBS Child workforce only registered with the update service (or be willing to get one)
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with children, either in small groups or 1:1.
  • Work to your own initiative with confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Previous School/Health care experience/Youth work/Sports coaching is desired.

Team Teach training is preferred but the can be offered with Teaching personnel during your journey with us. Teaching Personnel will also offer you a personal diary that allows you to choose your own working hours, a dedicated consultant who will support you through your application and teaching career and a referral bonus for each of your friends that you get to register with us.

All candidates must be able to provide two references from you most current schools or employments and must provide a DBS check registered to the update service or be completed via application at a cost of GBP40.00 with an additional GBP13 for the Update Service. Safeguarding is a priority at Teaching Personnel and therefore all candidates are vetted to the highest standard.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
