SEMH Teaching Assistant – Bournemouth
Full-Time | September 2025 Start | Flexible Hours Available

We’re searching for compassionate and reliable individuals to join several specialist education settings in the Bournemouth area as SEMH Teaching Assistants.
This role involves supporting pupils aged 3 to 19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across both primary and secondary phases.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing day-to-day support in lessons, ensuring pupils are engaged and motivated

Helping students manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive, respectful way

Supporting personalised learning plans tailored to individual needs

Working closely with teachers and support teams to promote progress and wellbeing

Encouraging a calm, inclusive and structured classroom environment

Role Details

Start: September 2025 (early start available)

Hours: 8:30am – 4pm, Monday to Friday

Term-time only

Students aged 3–19, across both primary and secondary levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
