Our SEN branch works closely with a Primary aged PRU that have asked us to recruit committed & strong-willed teachers to join their school. The post starts from October Half Term but they are keen to start the ball rolling as soon as possible. You must be show strength in your teaching and ability to adapt the curriculum accordingly.
Your role will include supporting the Teaching Assistants within the class to ensure there is consistency throughout. Many of the children here display challenging behaviour and need a firm but fair approach to their learning as some tend to crave a supportive figure in any aspect of their life. Being able to connect with them through sports or through unconventional ways is a advantageous - as the Head here stated "you need to be down with the kids".
Team teach training is desired - but we are looking to run a course around October half term.
