Ideal for new or returning Teaching Assistants
Are you a Teaching Assistant looking to gain experience, build confidence or return to school based work after a break?
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of supportive primary schools in Ormskirk, offering Learning Support Assistant opportunities that are well suited to those at the early stages of their TA journey or returning to education.
This role offers structured support, clear routines and an opportunity to develop experience in a classroom setting at a comfortable pace.
About the role
You will be working in primary school environments supporting pupils either within the classroom or on a small group basis.
Support may include:
- General classroom support
- 1:1 or small group SEN support
- Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
- Supporting behaviour, engagement and routine
Roles are available on a day to day, short term or ongoing basis, depending on your availability and preferences.
This role is ideal if you
- Are new to working in schools
- Are returning to a TA role after time away
- Are looking to gain experience before committing long term
- Prefer a supportive and structured school environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school based or transferable)
- A positive, patient and supportive approach
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
