SEMH SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Salary:
£83 - £95 Per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies
- Support students in their academic and social development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle challenging behaviour effectively

Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
- Ability to implement behaviour management strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school setting with students with SEMH needs
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviour
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
