SEMH Mentor – Support, Guide, and Rebuild Confidence
Do you want to make a lasting difference to young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? We’re seeking an SEMH Mentor to support pupils in building resilience and re-engaging with education.
What you’ll do:
- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Support reintegration into school, helping pupils settle back into routines
- Build confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies
- Work alongside schools, families, and professionals for joined-up support
What we’re looking for:
- Substantial experience supporting children with SEMH needs
- Knowledge of the school curriculum (desirable for learning support)
- Ability to deliver tuition (desirable but not essential)
- Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- 10 year career history, with references covering the most recent 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
