A lively secondary school in Plymouth are looking for long term teaching assistants to mentor challenging students with complex behavioural difficulties. The suitable candidates will have previous experience in a PRU, youth work or Behaviour setting and an advantage if they have Team Teach training, however the successful candidates most importantly will have the right attitude; be pro active, taking initiative, being flexible and have a passion to work with students who have behavioural difficulties.

Working as a Teaching Assistant here, you will be required to support the students within the classroom settings on a 1:1 basis being committed to supporting their academic development in a confident, consistent manner.

The suitable candidates will have the following:


* Experience with PRU students, SEN and/or educational environments

* Passion to work with Behavioural difficulties

* Confident personality

* Any relevant experience with Physical Intervention, Counselling, Sports coaching or Youth Work

* Immediate start dates available (Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 15:30pm)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
