Job description

Learning Support Assistant – New Forest (SEND Specialist School)
£13.75 per hour | Between 8:30am–4:30pm | Full-time preferred (4 days considered)

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in a specialist school in the New Forest. Candidates must have experience within educational, medical, or care settings and a genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse needs.

This role begins through our agency with the potential for a permanent school contract after a successful probation period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom, small-group, and 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs

  • Assist with communication, sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour support

  • Help deliver personalised learning plans

  • Support pupils in developing independence and life skills

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Participate in structured routines and pastoral support

  • Assist with personal care where needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
