Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

-          Interested in working Monday to Friday?

-          Passionate about working alongside pupils who display emotional & behavioural difficulties (EBD)

-          Daily rate of pay is £70 - £85 per day!

-          Living by or able to commute to the Carmarthen area?

Then we may have the role for you!

Teaching Personnel have a high demand for strong teaching assistants with a background in supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You would be supporting primary & secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from their mainstream setting and now attend a provision who specialise in this area.

You will be required to work on a small group and 1:1 basis with pupils who struggle to engage in the work and those who are easily distracted, so the school are happy for you to get the pupils engaged in games or sports they have a particular interest in as a positive reinforcement.

Therefore, the role is known to be more challenging on a physical level and the school are interested in applicants who are into their extra circular activities outside of work as there would be an element of taking pupils out of class to help engage them in sports / physical education.

We welcome all applicants from support worker, care, coaching and education backgrounds! However, if you are not from these backgrounds and feel you would be great for this role please still get in touch!

The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a full time basis and enthusiastic about getting involved in school’s extra curricular activities.

A Team Teach or relevant de-escalation qualification would be preferred, but if you feel you would be good for this role and do not hold this type of training then please still feel free to apply as we run this training in house and can upskill you as an employee of Teaching Personnel.

To express an interest in this role please give Chris a call or send a copy of your CV through for consideration.

I look forward to hearing from you!
