Secondary School Teacher – Blandford Forum, Dorset
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (Temporary)
Start Date: April/May 2026
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join our welcoming and ambitious school community in Blandford Forum. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering inspiring and effective lessons that encourage students to achieve their very best.
You will become part of a supportive team within a school that values inclusivity, academic excellence, and a strong sense of community. Located in the historic market town of Blandford Forum, the school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where both staff and students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-prepared lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to support individual achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning, enrichment opportunities, and wider school activities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and promote safeguarding throughout the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge with a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young people.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to professional development and reflective teaching practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
