Secondary school teachers- Part-time- Wigan

Secondary school teachers needed on a part-time basis for our partner secondary schools in Orrell.

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with several schools in the Orrell area of Wigan to provide daily support for absences. This type of work is ideal for any secondary school teachers who are looking for supply work on a flexible basis;

  • Regular teaching work within a variety of high performing schools in Orrell
  • Covering daily absences and becoming the first 'port of call' for the schools
  • Limited planning and marking responsibilities
  • A fantastic opportunity for teachers to work on a supply basis around their current commitments

Due to our ongoing relationships with many of the secondary schools in Orrell, Teaching Personnel are able to offer regular work for any teachers who merely want to teach without the additional responsibilities of planning and marking. The main duties of these roles are to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the school's permanent members of staff. They are perfect for any teacher who wishes to work part-time and become a regular cover option for a few local schools.

All of the secondary schools in the Orrell area have achieved Good-Outstanding in their most recent Ofsted reports. Pupils behave well and have positive attitudes to learning. This makes them the ideal environment to work in as you will be able to teach without having to challenge behaviour.

Many of the schools we work with in Orrell are easily accessible via the surrounding areas of Billinge, St Helens and Chorley. There are also direct public transport links to the area from Wigan town centre.

Work is available immediately for any interested teachers. For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, to find out further information, you can contact the Manchester West Secondary office directly.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
