Secondary Teachers – Liverpool & Wirral
Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs) – All Subjects
Teaching Personnel Liverpool is recruiting passionate, dedicated and skilled Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs) across all secondary subject areas to support our partner schools throughout Liverpool and the Wirral.
We have a growing number of long‑term, full‑year and permanent opportunities, with start dates immediate and September 2026.

About the Roles
We are currently recruiting FQTs in subject areas including (but not limited to):
- English, Mathematics & Science
- Humanities – History, Geography, Religious Education
- Modern Foreign Languages – Spanish, French, German
- PE, Computing & Business Studies
- Design Technology, Art, Music & Drama
- SEND Specialist Teachers
- Primary Teachers interested in transitioning into Secondary settings
Roles available include:
- Full‑time class teaching
- Part‑time or flexible timetables
- Long‑term cover with potential for permanent contracts
- Permanent roles secured directly via school interviews
- Opportunities in mainstream secondary schools, SEN schools, PRUs and alternative provisions
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records
- Contribute to the wider school community, supporting behaviour and pastoral needs
- Work collaboratively with departments and senior leadership teams
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with SEND or additional needs where required
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) – essential
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Passion for teaching and raising pupil attainment
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Confidence teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Experience in SEN or challenging behaviour settings is beneficial but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
