Maths Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maths Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths to students in years 7 to 11, and must have a passion for helping students develop a love for Maths, as well as achieving academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons to students in years 7 to 11, in line with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, and provide feedback on their academic performance to students and parents/guardians.
  • Set and mark homework, and provide students with regular opportunities for revision and exam practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop schemes of work, resources, and assessments.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Maths or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of teaching Maths to secondary school students in the UK.
  • A thorough understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Maths at secondary level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
