Maths Teacher – Secondary (Norwich)

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to work with secondary schools across Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring students and supporting them to achieve their full potential in Maths.
You will plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role suits teachers who are adaptable, collaborative, and keen to make a real impact within Norwich schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum and exam specifications
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confidence teaching students aged 11–16
- Ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one), ideally on the DBS Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
