The Role:
As our Secondary History Teacher, you will have the exciting opportunity to teach the full history curriculum, guiding students from their first encounters with the subject in Year 7 right through to their GCSE examinations in Year 11. You will work with a diverse range of learners, from those who may require additional support to more gifted students, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective history lessons across Years 7 to 11, covering the full curriculum.

Differentiate teaching to support both struggling and gifted learners.

Plan, prepare, and mark work in line with school policies and GCSE requirements.

Inspire students by sharing your passion for history and fostering critical thinking and curiosity.

Contribute to the development of the history department and collaborate with colleagues.
Person Specification:
-
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
A strong passion for history and the ability to convey this enthusiasm to students.

Experience teaching secondary history, ideally with GCSE experience.

Skilled in differentiating teaching to meet diverse learner needs.

Excellent organizational skills, particularly in planning and marking.

A commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
