Secondary English Teacher

On behalf of the English department in my secondary school in Leeds, I are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated English teacher who is inspirational in the classroom and will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this good school.

The successful candidate will have the qualities to motivate and inspire students and will be required to teach English at both KS3 and KS4. We are accepting applicants of all experience levels. Being an NQT does not count you out of this role!

You will have strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge, the ability to lead a department and achieve the best possible outcomes for the students. The ability to monitor and track the progress of year groups through data is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of the English team.

The secondary school is an 11-16 school in Leeds. Only a short commute from the city centre and local train stations. The school is also a main stopping point for a busy bus line, so lots of travel options.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
