Secondary English Teacher

Job description

On behalf of the English department in my secondary school in Leeds, I are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated English teacher who is inspirational in the classroom and will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this good school.

The successful candidate will have the qualities to motivate and inspire students and will be required to teach English at both KS3 and KS4. We are accepting applicants of all experience levels. Being an NQT does not count you out of this role!

You will have strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge, the ability to lead a department and achieve the best possible outcomes for the students. The ability to monitor and track the progress of year groups through data is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of the English team.

The secondary school is an 11-16 school in Leeds. Only a short commute from the city centre and local train stations. The school is also a main stopping point for a busy bus line, so lots of travel options.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the growing English team that is making substantial progress under current leadership. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are able to work as part of our staff team and help us take the next step forward

If this exciting new opportunity sounds like a role you would be interested in, then Brian the Leeds Lead consultant would like to hear from you. Please send a full and up to date CV, with no gaps in employment/education and I will be in contact shortly on review of application

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
