KS3-KS4 Behaviour Mentor

Are you a reliable , dedicated and friendly person searching for a behaviour support job? Do you want a new role supporting those in KS3-KS4? Do you have experience supporting those who need it? We have the perfect position for you.

About the role:

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a behavioural support teacher for an Ofsted "Outstanding" school within the area of Halifax to cover a maternity leave. This role is currently temporary until January 2020, however with a possibility of extending. You will be responsible for dealing with those who need extra support as well as those acting with wrongful behaviour.

The school is located in the centre of Halifax holding approximately 600 pupils. The school believes in respect , responsibility , courtesy , good manners as well as holding high expectations of its students in all aspects. The school offer performing arts, sport and a huge amount of extra-curricular activities that every student is expected to take part and commit to at least one if not more.

An ideal candidate will have:

-A UK recognised teaching qualification

-Experience with students ages 11 to 16 ( not necessary but would be preferred)

-A friendly and welcoming personality so those who need to feel like you can be approached with their problems/issues

-Outstanding behaviour management skills (necessary as is a large part of this role)

-An ability to attack issues that occur calmly in the right way using the correct methods.
