Secondary Behaviour Support Assistant - SEND School

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEMH School in South Shields to recruit a Behaviour Support Assistant on a full time basis. The role will commence as soon as possible from application and will be on going for the forseeable future.

The position will involve working with a small group of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students! You will be working with children from a mix of backgrounds, including children in looked after care. You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced special needs teachers as well as specialist teaching assistants.
