Science Tutor - Salford

Do you have experience as a Science Tutor? Are you looking for a part-time role from September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary Academy in Salford, aiding them in recruiting a part-time Science Tutor for September 2019 until the end of the academic year.

  • Part-time position available from September 2019
  • 3 days per week, after school hours
  • Opportunity to work in a 'Good' Ofsted rated Secondary Academy
  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis who require extra support with Science
  • Up to ÂŁ25 per hour, depending on experience

Working as a Science Tutor in our client school, roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students who require additional support with Science
  • Planning and incorporating interventions to aid specific students' attainment with the hoped of raising their progress
  • Assisting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from science lessons to attend intervention sessions that the potential candidate should be able to plan and deliver
  • Supporting students aged 11-16 across KS3 and GCSE
  • Reporting back to Senior Teachers with pupils attainment progress

To be considered for this Science Tuition role, previous experience working with students who have required additional support will be highly advantageous. Our client schools are in need of extra staff to guarantee particular students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require.

Our client school is based in the area of Salford and are easily accessible via surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury. For candidates who do not drive, there are several public transportation links from areas such as central Manchester, Bolton and Bury.
