Science Teacher - South Sheffield

Are you an experienced, passionate teacher of Science who is looking for a new teaching role from April 2019?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large Academy in the south of Sheffield who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Science to join their successful department from Easter 2019 until October half-term to cover a maternity leave.

The academy aim to provide exceptional levels of care and education for every individual student, it's a mixed, non-selective Academy committed to providing excellence in education and opportunities for all, currently ranked amongst the best Secondary Schools in Sheffield for both staff satisfaction and pupil attainment.

The ideal teacher will have experience teaching general Science at KS3 and KS4 level and would feel confident in delivering the occasional KS5 lesson

Noted in their latest Ofsted report 'From low starting points students make good and increasing rates of progress, the proportion of students obtaining five or more GCSE grades A* to C including English and Mathematics has nearly doubled in the last year, Behaviour is good clear systems are consistently applied and understood by all, The principal provides outstanding leadership she has acted rapidly to improve achievement and teaching and has fully involved the senior team, subject leaders and governors'.

To be considered for this role you will have the following;

*Must have UK QTS and recent experience of working in a UK classroom setting

*Passionate about both Science and teaching Available for a April start

*Be able to inspire and motivate all students to learn and achieve

*Take an active part in the wider life of the academy

*Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations of work, attitude and behaviour

*Be an enthusiastic team member with good communication and interpersonal skills
