Science Teacher - Salford

Are you an experienced Teacher of Science looking for your next role in Salford?

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting our partner school in Salford who are seeking an inspirational Science Teacher to join them from October 2019 until the end of the academic year in the first instance. There is also a fantastic opportunity to earn a permanent position for the perfect candidate after the successful completion of the fixed term contract.

  • Full time Teacher of Science required from October 2019
  • Fixed term contract until the end of the academic year (July 2020)
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract
  • Teaching all three disciplines of Science up to KS4
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£24,373 - £40,490)

Our partner secondary school is located in the Media City area of Salford and is smaller than average with fewer than 600 students currently enrolled. The school has a positive Progress 8 score that is in line with the national average, and is ideally situated close to a Metrolink stop. The school moved to their multi-million pound building in 2012, and in 2016 they were rated as 'Good' by Ofsted.

With Science being one of the most popular subjects within the school, the incoming Science Teacher will be joining a department where the pupils show a real desire to learn and will be joining a team of like-minded Science Teachers who share a passion of getting the most out of all students. The school receives excellent investment regularly and boasts excellent facilities throughout, particularly within the Science department with it having state of the art laboratories resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions and allowing the incoming Science Teacher to deliver inspiring practical and theoretical Science lessons.

Prospective applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK, and also expect to undertake full department responsibilities that this role involves including planning and marking. Candidates should have experience teaching all three disciplines of Science to both KS3 and KS4.

If you are a Science Teacher or a Newly Qualified Science Teacher seeking an exciting position within an Ofsted graded 'Good' school then simply apply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV and a cover letter for immediate consideration.
