Science Teacher - Oldham - September 2019

Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Oldham seek Science Teacher or Newly Qualified Science Teacher to join the school in September for the 2019/2020 academic year.

  • Full time Science Teacher required to teach all 3 Sciences to KS3 and GCSE level
  • Long term position starting in September 2019, for the remainder of the academic year
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point MPS/UPS (ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406)
  • Working within a large modern school in Oldham graded 'Good' by Ofsted

Based in the heart of Oldham and a short walk from major public transport links to the city centre, the school is easily accessible by both those with or without access to their own transportation. With state of the art facilities, the incoming teacher can benefit from excellent teaching and learning provisions throughout, particularly in the Science department which has undergone a recent investment.

The incoming Science Teacher or Newly Qualified Science Teacher will be joining a very welcoming and supportive Science Department with real progression opportunities. Although this is initially a year long contract, the school have expressed there is the opportunity of a permanent contract in September 2020 for the incoming Science Teacher or Science NQT. You will hold full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking as well as be required to take on additional responsibilities such as holding a form group and attending meetings, which will be reflected in your pay.
