Science Teacher - Oldham

Are you a qualified Science teacher looking to continue your career at a 'Good' school in Oldham?

Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our client schools in Oldham, who are seeking an experienced Science teacher to join their successful department from September 2019. The role is initially for one year, but due to a close working relationship with the school, there is a strong possibility of earning a permanent contract.

  • Full time post until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Potentially of earning a permanent contract
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)
  • 'Good' secondary school
  • Teaching Science to both KS3 and KS4

Our 'Good' client school is located in the Uppermill area of Oldham. It has excellent public transport links, and is accessible through both Mossley and Oldham with it being just a short drive from the M60 motorway. The Science department are serviced by two fantastic lab technicians, and the department works hard as a team to ensure that their students get the best out of their Science lessons both academically and to empower them to continue to study Science after their secondary school experience ends. The department strive to share their outstanding and innovative practice and collaborate to produce resources for schemes of learning at both KS3 and KS4.

Whilst working as a Science teacher at our client school, you should:

  • Have relevant teaching qualifications and QTS
  • Experience teaching all three disciplines of Science up to GCSE level
  • Be able to plan and deliver excellent quality lessons
