Science teacher (Milton Keynes)
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Milton Keynes who is seeking a teacher of Science to join them in September 2019. The school is located at the centre of a diverse and exciting community with a vision that reflects the drive, ambition and commitment of the school. The main aim is to build bright futures by creating a safe learning environment where each student is valued and individuality is recognised. The role will be required for a full academic year and will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 science. The capability to teach Physics, Chemistry or Biology up to Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential. You will be part of a passionate department full of experienced specialists who are keen to continue researching, developing and improving. In 2017, Ofsted commented that senior leadership had successfully created a warm, supportive and motivating atmosphere within the school. Science is a very popular subject among both GCSE and A Level groups and Ofsted have recently described teaching in science as "impressive". NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role. There may also be a permanent opening which you would be considered for.
You will be the ideal applicant for this role if you:
- Have experience teaching Science to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
- Have excellent classroom management techniques
- Are capable of monitoring results and ensuring progress is made
- Have a proactive approach and are able to engage effectively with students
- Are able to actively strive to help the school continue to improve
- Knowledge of the current curriculum
Teaching Personnel are the market leader for education recruitment in the UK and as a result, are able to offer our candidates a number of benefits, including:
- Ongoing guidance and support from your own sector specialist consultant
- Support with interviews and trial days to ensure you have every chance of being successful!
- CPD opportunities available to you at a subsidised cost to continue your professional development
- The opportunity to earn up to £850 per week
- The opportunity for a permanent post
All candidates must have a DBS on the current update service and the ability to provide recent references. If you are interested or would like to find out more please contact Megan on 01604 521222 or email
