I am currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Milton Keynes who is seeking a teacher of Science to join them in September 2019. The school is located at the centre of a diverse and exciting community with a vision that reflects the drive, ambition and commitment of the school. The main aim is to build bright futures by creating a safe learning environment where each student is valued and individuality is recognised. The role will be required for a full academic year and will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 science. The capability to teach Physics, Chemistry or Biology up to Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential. You will be part of a passionate department full of experienced specialists who are keen to continue researching, developing and improving. In 2017, Ofsted commented that senior leadership had successfully created a warm, supportive and motivating atmosphere within the school. Science is a very popular subject among both GCSE and A Level groups and Ofsted have recently described teaching in science as "impressive". NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role. There may also be a permanent opening which you would be considered for.

You will be the ideal applicant for this role if you:

• Have experience teaching Science to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5
• Have excellent classroom management techniques
• Are capable of monitoring results and ensuring progress is made
• Have a proactive approach and are able to engage effectively with students
• Are able to actively strive to help the school continue to improve
• Knowledge of the current curriculum
