Science Teacher, Manchester Secondary School, September 2018

Manchester based Secondary school are looking for a Science teacher to join them in the new academic year. Part of a learning trust this is an excellent opportunity for a Science NQT at the start of their career or seasoned teacher of Science looking to step into a more senior post. The post will be full time delivering KS3/KS4 Science with the potential to earn a school based contract or start on a temporary supply basis initially. The school have the flexibility within the department to cater for your preferred Science subject of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

You will be given the opportunity to implement your own teaching style in this thriving Science department that was in the top 100 for most improved schools in the country. The school has over 800 students on roll with an above average number who are eligible for free school meals due to it's catchment area. Academically the school is currently performing just below national averages so there will be an expectation to raise attainment for your classes through planning and marking your own work.

Located just of the M56 the school has exceptional public transport routes via train, bus or tram for those who don't drive or have access to a car .

Key features of this Science teaching position;

  • Pay ranging from £95-£160 per day dependant on your experience

You will need to have or be eligible to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate to be considered for this Science role. Teaching Personnel will need to obtain school based references form your most recent career history.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
