Science Teacher
Manchester

Due to a last minute open vacancy, Teaching Personnel are looking for a highly motivated and talented Science teacher to join our vibrant client school in South Manchester.

The successful Science teacher will join our client school on a full time basis from October, with the option to start earlier if suitable for the successful candidate. Whilst this position will start on a temporary basis, the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to earn a permanent contract through an introduction by Teaching Personnel.

We are looking for a well qualified Science teacher who has excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students across all age groups and learning abilities. The successful teacher will take responsibility for writing schemes of work and planning well-structured and varied lessons at KS3 and KS4 to meet the needs of all students. They will be able to manage behaviour appropriately in line with the schools behaviour policy and will ensure that students are fully engaged in their learning throughout lessons.

Our client school is a large mainstream secondary school with over 900 pupils on roll. Due to the demographics of the school, there is a high percentage of students who receive pupil premium funding and a number of students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school is located in South Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the school is easily accessible by the M60 ring road or the M56 motorway.
