Science Teacher

Join a highly reputable secondary school in Manchester, seeking to appoint a Science Teacher from September.

The successful Science teacher will have a genuine passion for their subject and will encourage, support and inspire students of all learning abilities.

This position will commence in September on a temporary basis and will run for the first academic term in the first instance.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers seeking employment from September 2020.

Responsibilities of this post:

  • Prepare, teach and assess the KS3 and KS4 curriculum as required.
  • Use a variety of learning techniques to support and challenge pupils where necessary.
  • Monitor pupil progress and to record and report on pupils’ attainment.
  • Liaise with the Head of Department to ensure a cohesive and successful delivery of the subject throughout the school.
  • Maintain the order and cleanliness of the classroom environment and classroom equipment.

This popular secondary school is located in central Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre. In their most recent Ofsted report, the school received an excellent report and was officially judged as a ‘Good’ school. The school is a highly motivated and positive school where pupils are positive about their school life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
