A highly regarded Secondary school in Stockport are looking for a Science teacher to join them in September at the beginning of the new academic year. The school's Science department is a supportive one where staff turnover is very minimal and unfortunately this position has become available due to a relocation of one of their long standing members of staff. The school is ideally looking for passionate Science teacher who is a subject specialist and motivated to teach outstanding lessons and add value to the already outstanding teaching which takes place. Applications are encouraged from teachers of all experience levels including NQTs and more experienced teachers.

The successful Science teacher will be teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE level with the option to focus on one of the sciences in particular; ideally Chemistry. Any Chemists who are due to be available and looking for a long term, permanent position in September are highly encouraged to apply immediately.

Highlights of this science teaching position:

  • Pay ranging between £1900 - £3000 per month depending on pay scale and experience
  • Full time, permanent Science teacher starting in September 2019
  • Teach all sciences up to GCSE level with a focus on Chemistry but potential to focus on another science depending upon preference
  • Highly supportive and dedicated science department at this outstanding secondary school

The school has been noted for its particularly high expectations and aspirations for all which reflects its 'outstanding' rating in recent Ofsted inspections. The quality of teaching has also been highlighted as outstanding across all year groups. The school are therefore looking for a teacher that is able to impart their knowledge to students with passion and thoroughness. Students generally perform very well with over 20% more students (than the National average) achieving Grade C /4 or better in English and Maths GCSE.

The school are seeking a teacher that is a subject expert as students feed off their teachers' expertise. The successful Science teacher will also be responsible for planning, marking and delivery of lessons across the curriculum up to GCSE as part of this full time, long term permanent position. The school is located in the Stockport area and can be accessed with ease via the M60 motorway or from other areas of Greater Manchester and Stockport.
