Science Teacher - Littleover, Derby

 

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of our client secondary school in Littleover, Derby who are looking to recruit a Science Teacher (Chemistry specialism) to start a long-term part-time role from, starting ASAP. The school have an excellent reputation within Derby and also hold an 'Outstanding' OFSTED report in all areas, to which they are continuously praised for their student achievements.

Due to this being a part-time long-term role, you will be required to plan, deliver, and mark the work of the students so experience with this is essential. Ideally you will have a chemistry specialism, however, any science teacher is welcome to apply.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Starting ASAP
  • Working Monday and Thursday until July 2021
  • Working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from September 2021 - December 2021
  • Teaching general science at KS3 and Chemistry at KS4
  • Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme
  • Supporting students in exam years, and tracking assessment

All candidates MUST:

  • Have a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) in Science
  • Have the right to work within the UK
  • Have the ability to provide school based references
  • Be available for part-time work starting immediately

  • 80% of students entering EBACC
  • 61% of students Grade 5 or above in English and Maths
