Part-time 0.8 Science teaching position available within a large mixed comprehensive secondary school in Salford from September 2020, or sooner if possible. 

This Science teaching opportunity will be offered for the full academic year 2020/2021, and may be subject to continuation on a permanent basis. Due to an internal promotion within the faculty, the Head of Department is seeking a passionate Science teacher to join their welcoming staff team, taking on full planning and marking responsibilities on a 0.8 basis per week.

• Part-time Science teacher required, September 2020 start or sooner if possible.

• Part-time teaching opportunity on a 0.8 basis - up to GCSE level. 
• Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Salford.
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490 per annum - pro rata.

The Science department has seen a rapid rise in terms of achievement, well in line with national averages. As the incoming Science teacher your roles and responsibilities will include quickly building positive working relationships with staff and pupils, continuing to promote the practice of outstanding teaching and learning as well as demonstrating a sound understanding of the new Science curriculum (1-9).

Located in the Eccles region of Salford, the school currently has just over 600 pupils enrolled aged 11-16. Salford is also easily accessible via the M602/A580 (East Lancashire Road). There are also an abundance of public transport options available local to school, with links across Greater Manchester.
