Science Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Science teacher on behalf of one of our key client secondary schools located in Wigan for a full time Science teaching position in September.

The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status and be able to deliver the Science curriculum to pupils across the ability range at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Science Teacher - Full-time position
  • Required to start in September 2019 (Or sooner.)
  • Competitive pay rates in line with the national MPS/UPS pay scale
  • Complete planning and marking responsibilities included

This Science teaching position is being advertised on a temporary basis in the first instance however due to this position being an open gap within the schools Science department their will be a definite opportunity to secure a permanent position in the near future.

The school require someone who is able to teach a complete Science timetable which will consist of KS3 and GCSE classes. It is crucial that you are able to show different methods of teaching students to cater for the different learning styles of your students, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to push past their targeted grades. You will need to be able to teach engaging Science lessons that include practical activities for students in order to raise the enthusiasm of your students.

This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher looking to gain an introduction to a full-time teaching role in September within a school that had made rapid improvements this academic year.

To be considered for this role you must have a track record of achieving excellent results at GCSE level.

  • Smaller than the average Secondary school with 680 students currently enrolled
  • Situated in the centre of Wigan - With good public transport links
  • Newly appointed Senior Leaders looking to continue in recent improvements of the school
  • Onsite staff car parking available for teachers
