The position: Secondary Science Teacher (KS3/KS4)
Pay scale: Negotiable to reflect MPS/UPS
Start Date: January 2021 running for the rest of the academic year
Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large secondary school in the Darlington area who are looking to recruit a passionate Science teacher. This role is full-time, starting in January and will run for the rest of the academic year. The role is open to both experienced and NQTs.
The school
The school provides a curriculum that enables all students to be successful, develop a passion for learning and develop essential skills for life. Every pupil is given the opportunity to take part in cultural experiences such as theatre visits locally and in London, Art tours to Paris or London, visits to Northern France and Barcelona, sports tours to Spain or Holland and a bi-annual ski visit to Italy. The school is privileged to have state of the art facilities, engaging technology and ICT resources, such as IPads, and a rich and vibrant extended curriculum. It has rigorous target setting and tracking systems and raising aspirations program, pupils are positively challenged to have high aspirations and are well-supported in reaching their potential.
The role
- Be able to commit to a long-term role (January 2021 - July 2021)
- Have a respectful and professional manner towards pupils and staff within the school
- Be passionate and inspiring
- Teach all Sciences to KS3/KS4
- Have high expectations of work and behaviour
Essential
- Hold qualified teacher status – (we welcome NQT applications)
- Have experience working with KS3 and KS4 children
- The right to work within the UK
- The ability to provide two references from your most recent employers
- All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid child workforce Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
