A mixed comprehensive secondary school in the Tameside area is looking to recruit a science teacher starting with them in September 2018. The successful teacher of science will be teaching KS3 and KS4 science across the curriculum within Chemistry, Physics and Biology. There will be a particular focus on Chemistry with the majority of the timetable aimed at KS4, GCSE level Chemistry. This is a full time Science position teaching within a large science department of currently 9 teachers.

  • Pay ranging between ÂŁ100 - ÂŁ170 per day depending on experience and payscale

The school has an ethos of ensuring all students gain the best education possible with lessons being engaging and of the highest quality. The school are therefore looking for a scientist who can echo these values and provide innovative and engaging lessons.

The school is situated in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester and is located very close to the local train station being just a 5 minute walk away. The school is serviced often by local buses as well as having a large on site car park for those science teachers that drive.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
