Teaching Personnel are working with a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in the Bolton LEA. The school have an emerging gap within their Science faculty, and due to this wish to appoint a Science teacher to join their department from January 2018.

This position will offer a fixed term contract for the full academic year, with the opportunity of an extension following this.

  • Full time Science teaching position, January 2018 start
  • Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stage Three (Specialism to Key Stage Four)
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£22,917 - £38,633 per annum/pro rata)
  • Working within a supportive department, over 10 specialists in the faculty
  • Accessible via the A666 (St Peter's Way)

The Science department at school achieved grades above the national average last academic year with 76% pupils achieving an A* - C. It is essential that the incoming Science teacher can display examples of raising attainment and grades within previous posts. The school currently has over 900 pupils on roll, with 38% choosing 'Triple Science' as an option last academic year.

Situated towards the East of Bolton town centre, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the A666. Neighbouring areas Salford and Bury also have public transportation links that lead directly to the school.
