Science Teacher - Oldham - September 2019

Due to a gap in their department and a possible expansion in the upcoming years, the Head of Science at our client secondary has requested CVs of excellent Science Teachers available in September, for an extended position teaching all 3 Sciences to KS3 and GCSE level.

This position would be initially be for the whole academic year, however there is an opportunity of a permanent contract for the incoming Science teacher if they show a real passion to progress throughout.

The school is located in a short journey from the centre of Oldham and has excellent links to the local community, with all students and staff feeing they are welcomed and supported within the school. With secure on-site parking for staff and good accessibility to public transport, the school is easily accessible for all Science teachers seeking a new and exciting challenge.

  • Full time position for a Science teacher or Newly Qualified Science Teacher
  • Working within a large modern secondary school in Oldham with good facilities
  • Paid in line with teaching scale point (MPS/UPS) and responsibilities upheld (ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406)
  • Further development and training opportunities available to all staff

The Headteacher has opened this position to both experienced Science Teachers looking for a fresh challenge and NQTs seeking an introduction to their first position. Newly Qualified Science Teachers can benefit from dedicated support from their mentor, support during their induction year and access to a number of CPD courses as well as opportunity to progress within the school and take on additional responsibilities.
