If you are a dedicated Science teacher looking to make a difference in students’ lives then this school is for you. From September 2023 this academy will be taking on successful candidates to join their team. The school is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Warwick.

Position: Science teacher
Location: Warwick
Start Date: September 2023
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £140 - £220 daily

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You would be expected to teach science to a range of levels, including GCSE and Functional Skills.
  • Frequently liaise with the Head of Department to discuss ways to develop the curriculum
  • Offer 1-to-1s to students where needed 
  • Frequently meet with the Teaching Assistants/technicians to ensure you are providing a top quality learning experience and discuss how you can make lessons more engaging
  • Mark and assign casework to students to maximise their learning potential

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Prior experience in teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE) is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and collaborative teaching environment.
  • Dedication to the academic and personal growth of students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Science.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
