Science Teacher – Secondary School in Stockport
Full-time | MPS/UPS | September 2025 start (possibility of earlier start for the right candidate)
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a reputable secondary school in the Stockport area to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their dedicated team. The role is to begin in September 2025, with the potential to start earlier depending on availability.
The school has a strong reputation for academic progress and pastoral support, and they are seeking a Science specialist who is committed to raising attainment and fostering a love for learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach a specific specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to GCSE level is essential, while experience with KS5 will be considered an advantage but is not required.
Key responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons

Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment

Participate in school-wide CPD and pastoral initiatives
The successful candidate will:
-
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification in the UK
-
Be a subject specialist in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
-
Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective behaviour strategies
-
Be committed to inclusion and supporting pupils of all abilities, including SEN and EAL
-
Be proactive, reflective, and a strong team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
